What should you bring? Our supplied Kit list should give you some ideas of what we like you to bring. You will need clothing for a variety of climatic conditions, including warm fleece or wool top as well as waterproof top and bottom, suitible for biking of course. We recommend that you bring your own mountain bike since that’s the one you know best. If you’re in a doubt wheather your bike is suitible experts at your local bike shop should be able to give you some advice but you’re also most welcome to contact us for help and adivice. Bike rental is also possible as you can read about on the Rent Stuff page on this website. You should bring those spares specific to your mountain bike such as bleed kits for disc brakes, appropriate fluid, shock pumps etc. Although we will bring a standard set of spare parts for emergencies that can be bought if needed, we cannot guarantee that we have the specific spares for all the different models and makes out there. Finally it is absolutely vital that your bike is thouroughly checked and in good working order before the start of your trip. For those wishing to make use of the fovourable economic situation and the relatively weak Icelandic currency there are a number of good outdoor and biking shops in Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland. For advice on where to buy specialized equipment in Iceland contact info@opusadventures.is or ask your guide upon arrival. |
